Meet the Therapist

Lynette Miller-Volel, LCSW (She/Her/Hers)
Founder & Therapist
I am a licensed therapist specializing in helping high achievers overcome anxiety, self-esteem issues, and perfectionism so they can enjoy their path to success. I understand that the drive to achieve can come with a lot of pressure, stress, and self-doubt, which can impact every aspect of your life. I believe you are the expert of your life. My goal is to help you find the answers already within you.
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges that professionals, entrepreneurs, graduate and medical students face. Together we will shift any thought patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back, improve self-care, build confidence, and gain tools to relieve stress. I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to open up about their struggles and fears, and I work to create a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship.
My 18 years of experience as a psychotherapist has included, providing psychotherapy, advocacy, supervision, and training. I'm committed to supporting and encouraging others in their personal and career growth. In my leadership roles, I have supervised teams in an outpatient mental health clinic and a legal setting where I advocated through an anti-racist lens for criminal justice reform.
I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Biology at Hofstra University and my master’s degree in Social Work at New York University. I utilize various therapeutic approaches to help you reach your goals including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, as well as holistic approaches. Treatment is tailored according to your unique needs.
Therapy can help you tap into your own wisdom and strengths and find effective solutions to problems. Seeking help can be a difficult and vulnerable step, but it is also a brave and important one. You can overcome challenges and achieve your goals. There is hope and I am here to help.
